Protein is vital in every workout you do. But I don’t have to tell you that. Protein replaces the small microscopic tears in your muscles left behind the strain your put on them in your workouts. This is why I am looking out for the best protein and testing them to see what results I get best when comparing them. And let me tell you something, Optimum Nutrition Whey Gold Standard gives me the biggest gains in the shortest time.

I really haven’t touched another protein supplement since the first few weeks I tried out this protein. Yes, to be fair I have tried other proteins for a couple of days here and there, but compared to Optimums taste and the way it performs doesn’t even match any competing proteins. Taste

This protein has a taste like no other. Choose between a couple of unique flavors, which my favorite flavor is double rich chocolate. The thing about the taste of regular proteins is after a while I lose interest in the taste of them. Put more plainly, I get so sick of some flavors that I feel like throwing the protein back up. But with Gold’s protein I literally could take it for months without even disliking the taste. Yes, I might get board with the taste of some of them, but I never feel sick after I drink them. That is why I like to change up flavors every time I buy a new bottle.

Effectiveness

Simply put, IT WORKS! Do I need to go further? Whether you are trying to build mass/muscle or just trying to maintain your weight and stay healthy this protein will not fail you. When using this product I gain a substantial amount of muscle in a matter of two weeks with a combination of no other supplements. If there is one supplement you need it is this one.

Mixable?

I’ll be honest it doesn’t mix well. But what protein DOES mix well? If you can tell me leave me a comment, I would like to know. But compared to other supplement Optimum Nutrition really took their time to get this step as best they could. But it also could be me. I mean I only mix it with a spoon and start drinking it immediately. So I’m sure it would mix a lot better if it were shaken or put in a blender.
