The Top 4 Best Pre Workout Habits That Every Fitness Freak Should Practice: From Supplements To Mental Awareness

Every person who needs to perform their best in a given situation where it be public speakers, athletes, or the president of the untied states, they all have to be their best and execute everything to their greatest ability. This isn’t far off from what a bodybuilder are used to. The average bodybuilder is always concerned with form and their progress every time they step into the gym. They have goals, they have focus, determination, desire, and if they don’t perform to their fullest potential they get irritated because they know they could have done better.

The thing that affects most people who don’t get the results they desire is because of the practices that they do before they go to the gym. Some may feel better if they do something right before they go to the gym, things like, listen to music that gets them pumped up or watch a particular video clip on Youtube.

I myself have a very strict routine right before I workout. It is so strict that some may view it as OCD or a superstitious. Call it what you want but I feel that if I don’t do certain things before I lift, I just don’t feel motivated to workout. Which is the most important impulse that any weightlifter can experience.

The fist thing I do is

· Get a cup of coffee or tea to get some extra energy. If I have a pre workout supplement, I’ll take that instead. I find Jack3d to be the most effective.
· I then turn on my laptop and look at pictures that motivate me or Youtube videos that get me “Amped”. A great place to get you motivated to workout is BodyBuilding.com’s Body Space. There you can find peoples profiles of their workout progress and what motivates them. You can filter people’s profiles by age and sex to see people who are the most similar to your goals.
· I don’t always to this but often I will meditate for about 20 minutes to a half hour. This gets me into a mind state that clears my head and increases a better positive outlook on everything. Getting a clear head and gaining focus is vital, which we’ll talk about in a little bit.
· The last thing I do is listen to music. This gets me motivated to a point where I cant stand waiting any longer and then I start to workout.

Pre Workout Meal/Food

One meal that is excellent not only before your workouts but after them is oatmeal. The reason why oatmeal is so great before working is because it maintain your energy levels though your workout. The carbohydrates in oatmeal get release and get into your bloodstream relatively quickly resulting in the production of ATP. Oatmeal also provides various other vitamins that are essential for maintaining your energy levels. I general eat oatmeal after my workouts, but if you eat it before I would eat only a little. I find that exercising on a full stomach prevents me from realizing my full potential.

Anther great meal you can eat pre workout is pasta. I like penne, but any form of pasta will do. Pasta, same as oatmeal releases carbs into your blood stream and maintains you energy levels. And just like oatmeal eat only small portions. You can eat it with a cheese or tomato sauce, but the more sauce you put on it, the more likely it will digest longer. I like to put salad dressing on my pasta for a unique taste.

Pre Workout Snack

Bananas are a great snack to eat before your about to workout. They provide long lasting energy and are quick and easy to eat. They have tons of potassium and give you a lot of energy when on the go.

Anther snack that you can take anywhere with you is trail mix or nuts. Trial mix was originally made for hikers because the yare easy to carry and will give you loads of energy throughout the day. Trials mix allows hikers to walk all day long without a sweat. But this is also good for working out. The nuts that provide the most energy are almonds. There are so many benefits by eating almonds everyday that it’s crazy.

Energy bars are also good for giving you quick energy and are also a healthy alternative snack. They offended provide essential grains, oats, and other goodies that are vital for your bodies recovery stages and long lasting energy. I personally like Nutri-grain bars, but any of them will do. Just make sure to read the nutritional facts to see how much sugar is in each bar.

Pre Workout Motivation

Body Space – As suggested before a great place to get some extra motivation is at Body Space. Many people that may have the same fitness goals that you may have post their progress pictures and other things about their daily workouts. It’s a great community to keep motivation and to share your own pictures and progress stats. People can post what supplements they are taking and they have a great forum where you can ask any question they you may have about exercising and working out.

You Tube – Anther motivation booster is YouTube.com. Just type in “Workout Motivation” and you will see hundreds of videos to get you motivated. An example of a video is this one:

Pre Workout Energy

The Best Pre Workout Supplements – Many people don’t like to take pre workout supplements, claiming they give a lot of unwanted side effects. But others swear by them. People may have different effects than other but if you have never taken a pre workout supplement then I suggest you try one. The best pre workout supplement that I have come across is Jack3d. There is also the c4 pre workout supplement and the assault pre workout supplement that work great.

Coffee – A lot of people don’t look as coffee as a supplement, but it is. It’s a stimulant that has caffeine and provides a lot of energy, not only used for when you first wake up in the morning. The only down side that coffee may bring is that it dehydrates you. So what I do is I drink coffee right before I workout and after I finish my coffee I immediately drink water. This will replace all the water in your body and your muscles.

A great article on Zenhabits.net gives you some information on how to get energy fairly quickly. You can find it here.

Mental Focus

Mediate

Meditate – If I were to tell you all the benefits that daily meditation brings I would be writing all day. So let me keep it simple and say that when you mediate you will feel more relaxed, motivated, and have more focus. This mental awareness will help you power though your workout easily. I generally try to meditate twice a day. If you try this technique just know that you won’t be able to be good at it at first. Your mind may wonder more than you may want it to, so just know that practice will eliminate this.

Stretch – Stretching may also clear your mind and help you “get in the zone.” Yoga is great for this very technique. Similar to mediation, your kind of hypnotizing your mind to focus on only one thing at a time.

Music – I think the best motivator is music. Uplifting and fast paced muscle will get the blood flowing no matter what your doing. Music will get your mind right not only before but also during your workouts.
